Mercedes-Benz beaks sales records for February

Mercedes-Benz India shows a 51% growth in Feb 2011 Vs. Feb 2010. Post highest ever sale of 662 units

Mercedes- Benz India has shattered last year’s sales figures for the month of February this year selling 662 cars as opposed to the 439 cars they sold same time last year. The super-impressive jump by over 51% is largely attributable to the 110% rise in the sales of the C- Class with 362 units being shipped out. Not too far behind is the E- Class which sold 230 units as opposed to the 161 units in Feb 2010. The SUVs like the GL also did very well with a total number of 23 units this year while the ML and the R- Class had a combined figure of 27 units.

Mr. Peter T Honegg, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India commented, “2011 started on a wonderful note for us and with the increased sales figures we are delighted that customers appreciate out brand value and have furthermore helped us in achieving this benchmark.” This year Mercedes-Benz has kicked off its 125 years celebrations which will continue across different platforms throughout the year.
